Janssen wants to do something in return for the trust it receives from society. What started out as local initiatives from Janssen employees in a psychiatric hospital has now become 'Janssen Cares! Our Credo in action'. Beautiful social and ecological initiatives, which receive much appreciation and are the ultimate expression of the connection between Janssen and society.

A pharmaceutical company doing voluntary work at hospitals, psychiatric centers, homes for the elderly and the physically impaired ... is not a common sight. This is how Janssen expresses its responsibility towards all people. In cooperation with Time4Society (in Belgium) and Stichting Zin (in the Netherlands) projects are organized every year. In 2013 more than 250 colleagues lent a helping hand in 1 of the 9 selected institutions, spread over the Benelux. For example, children were given an unforgettable 'paracommando' day at Pulderbos. A children's farm was refurbished in an institution for disabled youths in Nijmegen. And the ecology was preserved by cleaning up a nature reserve in Riel near Tilburg. The heath was cleared of shrubs and trees. Good for the sustainable growth of the heath and society.

Social
Sustainability

Janssen takes responsibility for its employees, patients and the local and international community.
We therefore work on deploying talent in a sustainable way and take care of the physical and mental health of personnel and their safety and continuing training.

Patient associations receive support from Janssen so they can realize their projects independently. Janssen pays special attention to young persons (training), informs local residents and becomes involved in local projects.

Access to and the affordability of health care are a core international theme at Johnson & Johnson and Janssen, who also support specific philanthropic projects.
