Janssen confirmed its solidarity with Africa in 2013 through the action 'Move for Africa'. It became a special awareness raising campaign about development cooperation and humanitarian aid, with a clear mission: making a durable and tangible difference for the world.

The main part was played by students from the 5th grade of higher secondary education in Wallonia. They developed concrete development projects in several African countries. The funds they collected were completely allocated to these projects.

Janssen feels involved in the future of young people and wants to raise their awareness to fully dedicated themselves to a better world. In addition, it wants to stimulate students to pursue a scientific career. The company finds it most admirable that students want to invest their time, talents and energy in a more sustainable world. Projects like Move for Africa definitely contribute to this aim.

Janssen takes responsibility for its employees, patients and the local and international community.
We therefore work on deploying talent in a sustainable way and take care of the physical and mental health of personnel and their safety and continuing training.

Patient associations receive support from Janssen so they can realize their projects independently. Janssen pays special attention to young persons (training), informs local residents and becomes involved in local projects.

Access to and the affordability of health care are a core international theme at Johnson & Johnson and Janssen, who also support specific philanthropic projects.
